R. J. Barker is a critically acclaimed and award-winning author of fantasy fiction. He won the 2020 British Fantasy Society (BFS) Robert Holdstock award for Best Novel and the 2024 Premio Italia Award for Best International Novel for his fourth title, The Bone Ships.
Emma Newman writes short stories, novels and novellas in multiple speculative fiction genres. She is also a Hugo Award-winning podcaster and an audiobook narrator. She created a podcast called 'Imagining Tomorrow' for Friends of the Earth. Her hobbies include dressmaking, LARP and tabletop role playing.
John and Serena have a vast wealth of experience running convention art shows, including Worldcons Loncon 3, Dublin 2019, Glasgow 2024 along with numerous Eastercons and Novacons over the years.
Barbadian writer Karen Lord is the award-winning author of Redemption in Indigo and The Best of All Possible Worlds, and the editor of the anthology New Worlds, Old Ways: Speculative Tales from the Caribbean. Her latest novel, The Blue, Beautiful World, was longlisted for the 2024 Women’s Prize for Fiction.
Iridescence has officially been named the 77th Eastercon after an overwhelming vote in favour. The vote took place at Reconnect, the 2025 Eastercon in Belfast.
After the vote the Guests of Honour were announced by chair Phil Dyson. They are RJ Barker, Emma Newman, Karen Lord, and fan guests of honour, John Wilson and Serena Culfeather.
Membership rates are £80 for full attending, £50 for low income attending, £20 for child/teen, and £40 for supporting.
The hotel room rate has been confirmed as £142 per night for a double room, including breakfast.
